Carlotz
After raising $300 million in funding, Carlotz turned to our team to help strategically design, build, and launch a competitive sales platform fo their used car business. As a mighty design team of five we worked together to redesign Carlotz website within a tight time frame. Our goal was to make browsing for a vehicle and buying it online or in-person more user-friendly, while simultaneously helping to establish their visual and tonal brand.
We started by exploring different visual brand directions, ultimately combining our directions into the chosen look and feel which served as the foundations for our cohesive design system. The brand and design system continued to grow as we designed the entire site, prototyping along the way, and ultimately collabing with our large team of developers to build out the full end-to-end experience.
In the end we helped establish Carlotz among their competitors with the digital transformation effort we went through. Through our shared vision, product strategy, brand design, and product delivery, Carlotz proved to be so attractive that it was acquired for $750 million in 2022.
